7th Graders went to see "The Book Of Life" at AMC Theaters on Friday, November 14th.  We had a blast and learned a lot about Mexican Culture especially El Día De Los Muertos.  Students also learned a little about Bullfighting, La Calavera Catrian or La Muerte, Papel Picado, Sugar Skulls, Churros, Cemeteries during Día de Los Muertos, Mayan Art, and Tenochtitlan.  

In Lección 1 they will learn:
*How to greet people in Spanish
*Say goodbye
*Identify themselves and others
*Talk about the time of day
*Learn about nouns and articles

**Learn about greetings in the Spanish-speaking world and the importance of a Plaza Principal in a community.

Plaza Principal Power Points
Students needed to research a specific Plaza form a  Spanish speaking country.  Once they picked their country they needed to tell us about the size, location and age of the Plaza.  They also needed to share with us the buildings that are located around the Plaza and some events that might take place there.
